One of two Overland Park outposts of this south Kansas City chain, Tanner’s on 119th is a classic neighborhood bar and grill - spacious, friendly and easy. It offers all of the bar classics, including wings, nachos, and burgers (or “Boogas,” as Tanner’s calls them), along with Tanner’s “World Famous Chicken Lips,” fried chicken-breast strips served with one of five dipping sauces. The beer and cocktail selections are solid, as are ways to stay entertained between sips.
