If Happy Hour isn't so happy with gobs of people "lit" in the Power & Light, then the promised land of comfortable food and even more comfortable drinks at Hikcok's in historic River Market awaits you EVERYDAY! And aren’t we a little happy on Saturdays, too? Hickok’s thinks so….well from 3pm to 7pm at least, for great prices after the work week is done. With drink specials and food specials to wash the drinks down (?), you will be relaxed enough to remember to add this one to your daily schedule.
Enjoy $2.50 well drinks, Bud Light, Dos XX, Schafly APA, Boulevard Wheat and Pale Ale.
$3.00 Margaritas Rocks and
$5.50 House Martinis,
$4 All House Wines, and
$1 Off All Bottled Beer!
Hickok’s loft-style space is roomy at the bar as well as the dining room, the perfect balance of contemporary-comfy, and has just the spot for an event or large gathering in their private party space.
…And while you are getting comfortable, you may want to loosen that belt and stop whining about being hungry because Wild Bill’s Burger will get ‘er done. That’s right. Tried FRIED as the Boulevard Beer Battered Burger, and if the words don’t trip you up, the taste and size will! This one comes with plenty of stuff on it! Queso, espinaca, chorizo, guacamole and onion frito, just to name SOME of the yummies on this burger! Whew…as I barely got through telling the tale of Wild Bill’s Burger, now the tale of “NightlifeKC vs. Food”, with our own Bo Flores! He took on The Monster Burger like a showdown with Wild Bill (well, the burger at least) and got his “name on the board”. Who went down? “Bill” or Bo? Bill's Monster Burger WENT DOWN...down Bo's hatch that is, in just MINUTES! Feel free to try this incredible food challenge, or take your time, and take LEFTOVERS!
For the less adventurous in food conquests, take on yummy Seared Ahi Tuna Nachos, a variety of enchiladas or burritos. Sandwiches, burgers and wraps are chock full of down home twists and entrees like salmon, steak and chops have finishings that remind you of what comfort food is. Watch out soon for Meatloaf on the menu, (and maybe your mom in the kitchen with the apron?)
