    This summer, catch all of the Friday Night Live! Concert & Deejay Series presented by Coors Light . Shows are free shows at KC Power and Light District, all shows begin at 9 and you must be 21 and older to attend.  Presented by Mix 93.3 and the pitch the lineup for the months of July and August are ones not to miss. Enjoy the hospitality of the upper and lower levels of Kansas Cities Power and Light District with food and drinks galore.

    July 6th – Young The Giant

    Formerly known as The Jakes, Young The Giant was signed by Roadrunner Records in 2009 and released its eponymous debut album in 2010. The band's first two singles, My Body and Cough Syrup reached the top five of the US Alternative Songs chart.

     

    July 12th – Buckcherry

    Hailing from Los Angeles, California Buckcherry is known best for its first Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit ‘Crazy Bitch’. They are currently working on a 6th album due to release sometime this year.

    July 27th –Perpetual Change

    Perpetual Change is a rock band based out of Kansas City known for playing 80’s, 90’s, and early rock from the 2000’s. Forming in 1986 they know a little something about the 80’s, 90’s and today.

    August 3rd – Neon trees

    Neon Trees is an alternative rock band from Provo Utah, beginning in Murrieta, California. Reaching stardom in 2008 while opening numerous dates for the band The Killers. Upon releasing their first album ‘Habits’ in 2010 their first single ‘Animal’ reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Alternative Rock Chart.

     

    August 10th –Paul Oakenfold

    One of the most well known DJs in the world Paul Mark Oakenfold was born in London, England. He is known best for his work with electronic and trance music along with his additions to the famous Matrix movie soundtrack. Kansas City is lucky to have a DJ of such magnitude more information about Oakenfold can be found HERE.

     

    August  17th –Trippin’ Billies –A Tribute to Dave Matthews Band

    Calling the south side of Chicago home The Trippin’ Billies are the most successful Dave Matthews tribute band as they have been touring the United States for nearly 20 years. It was quoted that the Trippin’ Billies is not just another Dave Matthews cover band and that they are THE tribute band. If you enjoy Dave Matthews this is the band for you as they are as close you can get to the real thing.

     

    August 24th –All American Rejects

    The All American Rejects were formed in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1999. They achieved mainstream success with numerous albums and songs charting the top 15 on the Billboard Hot 100. Gaining more and more stardom after each album released many of their songs have sold over two million digital downloads in the United States alone.

     

    August 31st –The Revivalists

    Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana The Revivalists named Best Emerging Artist in 2011 at the Gambit Magazine’s Big Easy Awards, before nominated in 2012 as the best Rock Band. The Revivalists have been touring since 2008 and thriving on the national level, clocking in over 400 shows while sharing the stage and the road with such notable acts like Galactic, Trombone Shorty, The Rebirth Brass Band, The Radiators, JJ Grey & Mofro, and Alabama Shakes. Gaining more and more press they have been written about by the famous David Fricke on Rollingstone.com. The Revivalists’ 2008 self-titled debut E.P was an Editor’s Pick for both the Jam Band and American Traditional Rock on cdbaby.com.
